The lauburu: an ancient symbol

The lauburu is the best-known symbol of Basque culture: four curved heads that stand for the four aspects of living nature. You will find it on pelota courts, farmhouses and cemeteries all over the Basque Country since the 16th century.

The piece

• 925 sterling silver — no lesser alloys, with hallmark
• Carved by hand with a burin from 1.2 mm rolled silver sheet
